Rumspringa by Sam Rudy
Sunday, Sept 22, 3pm free
RUMSPRINGA is set in a small rural town where the star of the local community theatre fears she is facing her final curtain -- until a young Ukrainian refugee arrives and a deep secret is revealed. It's a comedy, so please laugh!
Sam Rudy is a Centre County native; a graduate of Penns Valley High School and Penn State. He recently returned to Happy Valley as a retiree after having lived in NYC for 40 years, where he worked on Broadway as the public relations officer for shows including HAMILTON, AVENUE Q, WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?, THE GOAT, HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE and countless other Broadway and Off-Broadway theater productions and live performances. He was especially gratified to work on shows that marked the debut of numerous great film actors as they made their Broadway debuts: Sally Field, Robin Williams, Bill Pullman, Daniel Radcliffe, Fran Drescher and Sting. Sam is proud to serve as a board member for the Penns Valley Education Foundation.
