Act, sing, dance, drum, paint, and play! From monsters to aliens, wizards to wild things, and other wacky characters, we'll stomp, sing, dance, read our way through books, stories and tales!
Creative Drama for ages 6-8 provides a strong foundation of the performing arts as we develop creativity and imagination, social skills, academic skills, and our self-awareness and self-expression.

Saturday 3-hr intensives $50/session

Intro to Acting, Movement, Mime, and Puppetry. Come join us in the studio as we develop our performance, team-building, self-awareness, and self-expression skills. No experience necessary.
$50 per 3/hr session

Warrior Women
Wednesdays, 6-6:45pm

Time for Warrior Women to take care of our bodies through gentle stretching and toning. The class offers activities that can be performed sitting, standing or lying on the floor offering multiple exercises to help reduce pain and stiffness, maintain and improve mobility, muscle strength and function. And it's all done in a fun, welcoming environment.
We'll use pop dance moves from salsa to swing to English country dance and others (you get to help pick music and dances) in our own Warrior Women Dance Club.

Zena Rommett Floor-Barre® Classes
with Ann Van Kuren, VanDance Inc.
Thursdays, 12:30-1:30pm
Excellent for dancers, as well as non-dancers, athletes, and non-athletes. Begin your workout or end your day by centering, elongating, and strengthening your body without the pressure of gravity! It gives you a solid foundation in body awareness that you can take with you in all your daily activities. It is also an excellent way to maintain strength for people recovering from injury and can also aid in injury prevention.

Beginning Sept 1, you will be able to find Tempest Productions , VanDance Inc, and the Central PA Theatre & Dance Fest in their new home theatre arts studio at 140 Kelly Alley, State College. Formerly the home to Movement Arts Studio, this space offers an eclectic theatre arts setting for our variety of programs as well as a traditional dance studio space.
The Open House Series begins Sept 12 and runs through Sept 23 with free classes, meetings, readings, and other events. Join us, try something new, and make new friends as we grow our arts community. Fall Classes & Workshops begin on Sept 25.
Tempest Productions began in 1996 in NYC and Hoboken, NJ and extended to PA in 2002. In 2018, Tempest created and produced the Central PA Theatre & Dance Fest, now in its 6th year.
VanDance Inc., State College’s own professional dance company for 21 seasons, is dedicated to creating and presenting unique, high-quality contemporary dance works through professional artist collaborations. VanDance delivers dance as an alive and vital art form through integrity in the creative process, education of audiences, and outreach to underserved populations.
