We’re wild about Will, William Shakespeare that is, and hope you will be too! In this

classical theatre camp for tweens and teens, we will explore and unravel

Shakespeare’s language while developing fundamental acting skills.

Participants will be split into small groups to journey through the stories of

Shakespeare’s plays and sonnets so to have Shakespeare roll “trippingly off the

tongue.”

We will explore the dynamic that movement and action bring to Shakespeare’s

words using exercises in pentameter, prose and dramatic readings. Students will

work on ensemble skills, voice, movement, and improvisation. We’ll even learn a bit

about Renaissance song and dance.

The camp will culminate with performances on Friday, August 19 at South Hills

School of Business & Technology and on Saturday, August 20, at Talleyrand Park as

part of The Bard in Bellefonte.

Wild About Will is sponsored by South Hills School of Business & Technology and all

workshops will be held at South Hills School of Business and Technology, 480

Waupelani Drive, State College, PA 16801.
